I have some animated gif came with colored backgrounds, non-transparent, now I
want to
make them having transparent background, how do I do it?
I tried using Paint Shop Pro 5's Animation Shop using flood fill to fill the
background with
transparent colour (R= 0 G= 0 B= 0) for each frame of the gif, however it does
not work when I put it in my html web page. My friend can make it work in Paint
Shop Pro 5, but he still can't achieve having transparent background when put
the image to a html page.
Urgent! Please help if you know any other method to achieve this operation!
thanks very much!

Two steps you need to do:
1. In Edit->Animation Properties, set the canvas color to transparent.
2. Set the flood fill tool to "To Canvas color". Now flood fill or use the
erase on the areas that you want transparent. Anywhere you see the
checkerboard in the animation will be transparent when it is saved.
